| General Information:
Travel safely off the beaten track in convoy, together with fellow tourists, whilst your competent guide leads the way in his fully equipped 4x4, stocked with vehicle recovery gear, extra drinking water, first aid kit etc. Assistance is readily available should it be required. All vehicles are in constant radio contact with one another. Included is an off-road 4x4 driving course, introducing you to your vehicles ability and building your confidence in your off-road driving kills. Your guide wil share with you many handy tips to ensure a comfortable bush experience. Campsites are set up in minutes and the preparation of meals is no big chore, promising the most hastle- free means of discovering the country. This safari is fully-inclusive i.e. include vehicle rental of fully-equipped 4x4 vehicle, fuel, food, camping sites, accommodation (where applicable), route planning and the services of a professional guide. Rate per person per vehicle is R5 900 per person. |

| 4x4 Guided self-drive safari Itinerary | |||
| Day1: | Arrival at Johannesburg International Airport, transfer to offices, and introduction to vehicle facilities. We overnight at a lodge just outside Pretoria on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. (60 km) | ||
| Day2: | We leave for Milwane Wildlife Sanctuary in the Kingdom of Swaziland. During the day we have ample time for sightseeing and visiting places of interest. We set up camp in the Milwane Wildlife Sanctuary. You will have the option to go on a horse back safari in the sanctuary. (400 km) | ||
| Day3: | Today we travel slowly in a south-easterly direction to Manzini and then onto a private game farm, where we overnight at the campsite. The game farm offers the following options: guided game drives, guided night drives, guided walks, a tour of a Swazi cultural village etc. Swimming pool, restaurant and bar facilities are also available. | ||
| Day4: | We leave Swaziland. Our route takes us through Maputaland, a part of Kwa-Zulu Natal, and through the border of Mozambique. Our campsite for the night is in Ponta do Ouro, a small village on the coast in the south of Mozambique. Some of the roads we will be travelling on are negotiable only with four- wheel-drive vehicles. We will attend to the off-road driving abilities of your vehicle and yourself as and when we get to the different obstacles en-route. (236 km) | ||
| Day5: | Spend the day and night at Ponta Do Ouro. Here you have the option to go snorkelling, scuba diving or deep sea fishing. You can also explore the village and surrounding area, or just relax on the beach. | ||
| Day6: | Today we head north to Maputo, the capital of Mozambique. Althouh the distance is only 117 km., it might take us most of the day, depending on the road conditions. We spend the night on a camping site just to the north of Maputo. (170 km) | ||
| Day7: | We leave for Xai-Xai on the coast of the Indian Ocean. We have ample time to explore the area on our way north. We overnight at one of the campsites in Xai-Xai. (224 km) | ||
| Day8: | Today we travel further north to Ponta Da Barra. (261 km) | ||
| Day9: | We spend the day at the beach. You have the option to go scuba diving, snorkelling, sailing, horse riding and deep sea fishing. | ||
| Day10: | Travel further north to Inhassoro where we will set up camp close to the beach. (300 km) | ||
| Day11: | We continue on our adventure safari, cross the Save River and travel north until we meet up with the main road from Baira to Mutare in Zimbabwe. We overnight on the shores of a large lake close to the Zimbabwian border. (380 km) | ||
| Day12: | Today we cross the border into Zimbabwe, drive through Mutare and its beautiful surrounding area. We will visit the Vumba and the Chimanimani area, on our way to Save Valley Wildlife area. Here we overnight at a bush-camp. (200 km) | ||
| Day13: | We spend the day exploring and game viewing in the game reserve. Save Valley is the largest privately owned wildlife area in Africa. We overnight in the reserve again. | ||
| Day14: | On our way to our next overnight stop we visit the famous Zimbabwe Ruins. We spend the night at a private hunting farm on the edge of the Bubi River, not far from the South African border. (426 km) | ||
| Day15: | We travel through the border at Beit Bridge and head down south for johannesburg to return our vehicles. We will arrive at about 16h00. (570 km) | ||
