Travel safely off the beaten track in convoy, together with fellow tourists, whilst your competent guide leads the way in his fully equipped 4x4, stocked with vehicle recovery gear, extra drinking water, first aid kit etc. Assistance is readily available should it be required. All vehicles are in constant radio contact with one another. Included is an off-road 4x4 driving course, introducing you to your vehicles ability and building your confidence in your off-road driving kills. Your guide wil share with you many handy tips to ensure a comfortable bush experience. Campsites are set up in minutes and the preparation of meals is no big chore, promising the most hastle- free means of discovering the country. This safari is fully-inclusive i.e. include vehicle rental of fully-equipped 4x4 vehicle, fuel, food, camping sites, accommodation (where applicable), route planning and the services of a professional guide. Rate per additional person per vehicle is R5 900 per person. |

| 4x4 Guided self-drive safari Itinerary | |||
| Day1: | Arrive at Windhoek International Airport. Transfer to our offices and introduction to your vehicles facilities. We leave for Van Bach Dam recreation resort surrounded by a nature reserve. (75 km) | ||
| Day2: | We travel via Otjowarongo to Etosha National Park. We camp at Namutoni rest camp. (465 km) | ||
| Day3: | We get up early to go on a game drive in the surrounding area of the camp. During the day we travel slowly towards the west to reach our overnight camp, Okaukuejo. One of the highlights is the floodlit waterhole where elephants and other game come to drink at dusk. We will have ample time for game viewing and relaxing during the day. (140 km) | ||
| Day4: | Today we leave Etosha and travel eastwards to Hobatere Lodge where we overnight on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. Hobatere is home to a vast array of game and birds: elephant, giraffe, Hartmanns mountain zebra, springbok, gemsbok, eland, lion, etc. We overnight in the thatched cottages with en-suite bathrooms. | Day5: | We leave in early in the morning and travel north via Opuwa, where we stock up on fuel, to Epupa Falls. Here we spend the night on the camping site. We will attend to the off-road driving abilities of your vehicle and yourself as and when we get to the different obstacles en-route. (329 km) | ||
| Day6: | We backtrack to Okangwati and head for Otjitanda. The total distance is only 140 km, but we will most probably take most of the day to get there, dependng on the road conditions. We overnight at a campsite. (140 km) | ||
| Day7: | Today we travel down the steep Van Zyls Pass with its beautiful views of the plains and the Marienfluss. We will arrive in Outjinhungwe at the Kunene River before nightfall to set up camp on he banks of the Kunene River. (90 km) | ||
| Day8: | We leave early to travel south-east through the Marienfluss for about 50 km. We turn south to Puros on the Hoarusib River, where we overnight at the campite. On our travels through the Kaokaveld we will have the time to meet the famous Himba people and the Herero. The Himba like the Masai of East Africa are probably the most striking looking people in Africa. Especially in the remote areas we are visiting, the Himba women are still dressed in their traditional dress. The Desert Elephant and the Black Rhino roam freely in the areas we travel through, as well as other game species such as the Damara dik-dik, blackfaced impala and gemsbok. (230 km) | ||
| Day9: | We continue on safari to the south east past Sesfontein to the Ogongo Camp site. Ogongo Falls is a small sweet spring set in a rocky valley. (129 km) | ||
| Day10: | Our trip takes us south into Damaraland where we overnight at Palmwag, in the lodge on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. This lodge/campsite is in the heart of Damaraland. It has swimming pools, a restaurant and a bar. (260 km) | ||
| Day11: | Travel further south to Twyfelfontein. We have ample time to explore the area. We will visit the Petrified Forest, the Burnt Mountain and the rock engravings. Our campsite for the night is the Aba-Huab campsite. (100 km) | ||
| Day12: | Early morning we head northwest and enter the Skeleton Coast Park. We travel along the coast, south to Mile 108, our campsite for the night, right on the beach. During the day we visit some shipwrecks on the beach and have a look at some deserted mines along the road. (300 km) | ||
| Day13: | Travel south along the West Coast. We visit Cape Cross seal colony and drive along the beach to Swakopmund. We overnight at one of the campsites in the area. (180 km) | ||
| Day14: | Today we explore the surrounding area of Walvis Bay, Swakopmund and Sandwich Bay, known for the many sea and freshwater birds, Welwitschia Nature Trail. We camp either in the Namib Naukluft Park, or just north of Swakopmund at Mile 4 campsite. (100 km) | ||
| Day15: | Our last day of the safari, we head east towards Windhoek to return our vehicles. (325 km) | ||
