CERES

Ceres is one of the country's largest friut-growing regions. Pears, apples, apricots, peaches, nectarines and cherries are grown here. Visitors can tour the orchards and fruit-packing houses on the Ceres Fruit Route between December and April, which is the fruit-picking season. Trout fishing is popular in the streams of Matroosberg, from the Dwars River which runs through the town.
