FISH RIVER CANYON

The magnificent 161-km-long Fish River Canyon is one of the wonders of Africa. It is second in size only to the Grand Canyon in Arizona. There are a number of hiking trails for those who wish to venture into the canyon, however the cooler months (May to August) are the most suitable as the oppressive heat of the desert is magnified in summer.
