HARTEBEESPOORT DAM

The dam is surrounded by the Magaliesberg mountains, and is popular all year round as a boating and fishing resort. There is also a snake park, fresh-water aquarium and a 2 km cableway taking visitors to a viewing site on the Magaliesberg which is home to some of the last colonies of the endangered Cape Vulture.
