Magaliesberg is a popular holiday playground, offering many diversions around the Hartebeesport Dam. The Makalani Bird Park which has the largest selection of Loeries in South Africa is worth a visit. There are craft shops to browse in, or you can take the Magaliesberg Express steam train from Johannesburg to Magaliespoort.
