MOREMI RESERVE

The Moremi Wildlife Reserve covers more than 1000 square km of grassy flood plains in the north-eastern corner of the Okavango Delta. Apart from the savanna, the terrain includes winding water banks of reeds, palm covered islands, thick forest, and lush, lily covered lagoons where hippos bathe and sport. The reserve is home to large herds of buffalo, wildebeest and zebra. Lions, cheetahs and packs of wild dogs hunt in the open grasslands. An immense variety of birds can be seen here.
