NAMIBIA

Namibia is known for having the oldest desert in the world, the highest sand dunes and the second largest canyon in Africa. Windhoek, its capital, is a bustling, cosmopolitan city with a strong German influence. Namibia draws tourists to its awe-inspiring deserts - the Namib and Kalahri, national park areas which have abundant wildlife - such as the Etosha National Park, and the uniquely preserved turn-of-the-century German towns, namely Swakopmund and Luderitz. The unit of currency is the Namibia Dollar.
