OKAVANGO DELTA

A wildlife haven is found here amongst the waterways, lagoons and lakelets surrounded by the lush, green floodplains of the Okavango Delta. Large numbers of crocodiles, hippos and buffaloes live in the waters, whilst sitatunga, lechwe and bushbuck roam the islands. The swamp water is generally beautifully clear and often covered with water-lilies. Canoes, known as mokoros, are used to travel across these waters.
